Dynamic Bible Explorer

The Dynamic & Semantic Bible Explorer is a new and innovative tool that goes beyond typical keyword text searching to also include semantic and categorical search methods.

Every Bible software in existence, including Bible Analyzer, uses a form of "keyword" searching to find words and passages in the Bible. That is, they look for specific strings of characters in a text. With optional wildcard characters and regular expressions keyword searching can yield impressive results, but it has its limits If one is looking for specific word, phrase, or string of characters keyword searching is the way to go, however, if one is searching for a general concept or does not know the exact words to search for, keyword searching may not bring the desired results. This is where Bible Analyzer's Explorer comes in.

Semantic Intent Matching

The word Semantic has to do with intent or meaning—what is the intent of the inquirer, and the Bible Explorer tries to discern intent with its extensive internal lists of synonymous terms, concepts, and categories. If one wants to search about "the Bible," the Explorer will answer with relevant Scripture even though the term "Bible" is not found in the Scriptures. The same with "rapture," "trinity," and other non-Bible words. If you ask it about the "Holy Ghost" it will know you mean the "Holy Spirit" as well. The same for eternal/everlasting, sin/transgression/iniquity and countless others.

Powerful Category Matching

In addition, the Explorer has a category matching feature that is as powerful as it is innovative. One can search for all the items of a category with a simple topic word. For instance, if one wanted to search for all the kings in the Bible who were connected with music, all one need enter is king^ music^ and every verse (or paragraph) where any individual king is somehow connected with a musical term will be listed! There are dozens of categories to search with, and they can be combined with keyword and semantic searching!

Comprehensive Phrase Searching

When a phrase or group of words is entered the Dynamic Explorer can search for the complete phrase and any consecutive word group found in the phrase down to two-word groups. Even entire verses can be entered to find all other verses that contain any word groups.
