Baxter's Explore The Book is not just a series of analyses and outlines of Bible stories. It is a complete Bible survey course comprising over 1700 pages! No one can finish this series of studies and remain unchanged. The reader will receive lifelong benefit and be enriched by these practical and understandable studies.
As others have said,
"Exposition, commentary, and practical application of the meaning and message of the Bible will be found throughout this giant volume. Bible students without any background in Bible study will find this book of immense help as will those who have spent much time studying the Scriptures, including pastors and teachers. Explore the Book is the result and culmination of a lifetime of dedicated Bible study and exposition on the part of Dr. Baxter. It shows throughout a deep awareness and appreciation of the grand themes of the gospel, as found from the opening book of the Bible through Revelation."
When I went through this title preparing it for Bible Analyzer I was impressed with the depth of the material. It considers aspects of the Bible text any reader may have questions about, plus it even examines the arguments of textual critics.
J. Sidlow Baxter was a British theologian, pastor, and author. He was born on March 16, 1903, in Mansfield, England, and passed away on July 22, 1999, in Melbourne, Australia, at the age of 96. Baxter spent most of his life studying and teaching the Bible. He was a graduate of Spurgeon’s College in London, where he earned a degree in theology. After completing his studies, he became a pastor in England and later in Scotland. “Explore the Book” is Baxter's most well respected title.
Explore the Book was originally in six volumes but has been combined into one large volume. We formatted as a Bible Analyzer Book title with over 150 chapters. Each chapter is treated as a single study.
The printed edition of this massive book is over $65.
