crash of commentary window
crash of commentary window
Commentary window crashes almost every time I try to use it. I have to reset to open it again. Help
Re: crash of commentary window
What OS are you on?
Did you try a reset in Tools/Reset Bible Analyzer in the Main Menu.
If so, what steps do you take from a fresh start to cause the crash?

windows 11 - Reset multiple time- every time it crashes - After reset, when I try to use commentary window, it crashes on a random comm. title.
Re: crash of commentary window
There may be a corrupted .cmt file. Go to your Tools/Primary Modules Folder and under the Commentaries folder look for any 0 size files or any file not ending with .cmt.
or you can uninstall Bible Analyzer, including the modules when the uninstaller asks, and then reinstall. You must also manually delete your Documents/Bible Analyzer User Modules folder.

No luck. No zero files. I am reluctant to uninstall everything. Will keep using and stay away from commentaries.
Re: crash of commentary window
Ok, try moving all but one commentary file out of the folder and see if it still crashes. (There must be one there for Bible Analyzer to start).
If not, move some more back in and check.

Re: crash of commentary window
How do I remove the commentaries?
Re: crash of commentary window
Drag or move them to another folder or make a Temp folder and copy them there and then delete them in the Commentary folder. You can always put them back.

Re: crash of commentary window
Tried to follow manual to create transfer file. Failed. I have used your program a lot. But, numerous error messages and resets make it cumbersome.
Re: crash of commentary window
You don't need to do a transfer. Just go to the modules folder in Windows Explorer and move all but one .cmt file and try it out. You can always move them back.
