attempted upgrade to version 5.6.1.10

In HELP selected "check for update", it said an update was available. I tried to download it. It said the download was successful and that the update file was added to my desktop. However, when I checked my desktop, it was nowhere to be found. My current version is 5.5.1.18 - trying to upgrade to 5.6.1.10. Where can I find the "exe" file.
