suggestion : IDX : make items clickable
I like the IDX tab of the Reference Panel. But it would be even more useful if I could click on an item in the tree and navigate to that verse or at least see a popup of the verse. see image.

Re: suggestion : IDX : make items clickable
I guess navigating to the verse would not be useful for me since that would repopulate the IDX.
Re: suggestion : IDX : make items clickable
The IDX tab shows the topics of each book where the active/current verse is found. Those topics happen to be verse references in the TSKe. To see popups of the verse itself instead of the location of the verse within the listed topic, use the TSKe tab instead.

Re: suggestion : IDX : make items clickable
I did not explain very well. TSKe was only an example. What I am suggesting applies to any resource accessed in the IDX.
My problem is I can see lots of good information in Quick View when hovering over an IDX item or in the resources itself when I click the item. But without being able to see the verse I don't have much context for that information. If I click an item in the IDX and go to that resource I have to navigate to the top of the resource and hover over the verse reference to see the Bible text. Then I have to navigate back to the information, where the resource initially opened.
That is a lot of choreography.
I can see the Bible text that populated the IDX because it is in my Bible pane. For example, if I search for "Romans 8.19" the ICX populates based on that verse. One item in the Cambridge commentary is ''Php 3.20". I would like some way to see the text for Php 3.20 without having to look it up in the Bible - which would cause the IDX to repopulate.
Sorry for any confusion.

Re: suggestion : IDX : make items clickable
Tim,
Since hovering over the item (be it a Bible verse or a topic from a dictionary, book, or commentary) normally shows a preview of the content from wherever the hit came from, I suggest using the CTRL (or SHIFT or ALT) key to allow showing alternative content. If the hit is a Bible verse, then hovering normally would still show the preview from the dictionary, commentary, etc. from where it came from, but if you hover over it while holding down the CTRL key (or whatever key you choose) then the popup shows the actual Bible verse being referenced. If the hit is not a Bible verse then hovering could act normally, unless there is some alternative content that could be shown that makes sense.
But of course, this depends on practicality and consistency with the behavior of the rest of the application. I merely make the suggestion in case this course of action had not occurred to you. You may think of a better way of doing this.

Re: suggestion : IDX : make items clickable
I think I see what you mean.
The issue is the IDX feature is designed to work with all Bible Analyzer titles, not just commentaries. Books and dictionaries do not have Bible refs as topics. The purpose is best served for the IDX feature, I think, when the popup and click shows where the active verse is under that topic.
One thing you can do that may help is when you click on a topic in the IDX, right-click in the page that displays and select "View Verse Text of Refs..." and all the text of the refs in that page will display in the MultiWindow, with the topic verse always first at top.
