suggestion: LexiScope : Check for updates

Is it possible to add an option in the LexiScope help menu to "Check for updates" (that is, to go online and check for newer releases of LexiScope)?

I'd like to be able to know when there are any improvements or bugfixes to this tool. (I do not have any bug reports right now.)

I am *not* asking for a "query push" type of function, where a cron job checks every week to see if a newer version exists, nor am I asking for a feature where LexiScope automatically checks for updates every time it starts up (unless that is a configurable that can be turned off). I'm hoping for a "pull" function, not a "push" function.
