S-Pad background color

Post by Jprutl »

The S-Pad background color is black; therefore, any text must be highlighted to be visible. I have no clue why it is that way.
Selecting the Books tab next to S-Pad, the screen is normal in color. How can this be corrected?

I am using BA version 5.6.5.13. Screenshot attached.

What OS are you on?

This may be a theme issue with your OS. The default Bible Analyzer background is white.

I am using Windows 11. I will check the theme to see if that is the issue and let you know. Thanks

Tim, thanks for the quick response to the question. The theme I was using for Windows 11 was the issue. Thank you, and the Lord bless.

Tim, is there any way you can allow the user to set the background for the S-Pad? The same goes for the Dynamic Bible Explorer. Because of many other apps on Windows that need a Dark Theme, I would have to change the default theme every time I used Bible Analyzer. It's interesting that the other sections of Bible Analyzer are not affected by the Windows default Dark Theme setting. It seems inconsistent for the S-Pad and the Dynamic Bible Analyzer not to work as well.

Thanks! (Your tools are all great!!)

Matt

ScripturePad uses a different display method that the other windows.

I'll look into a way to deal with dark mode.

For Windows 11, under personalization, colors. Choose your mode Custom, Default windows mode, dark default app mode, light Then everything is set to dark except your apps. Just set your apps to dark mode if you want them that way and if not then they shall be light. Works for me! I know this is an old thread but I just ran into this problem and saw that somebody had solved it with themes and it got me in the right direction. I thought I would share. :-) In short order I found I could have my cake and eat it too. Not so bad.

I am having this same issue with S-Pad and Dynamic Bible Explorer. I have purchased several modules for Bible Analyzer. It has replaced e-Sword as my desktop Bible study program. Thanks arcanemuse for the suggestion, but this is really an issue with the Bible Analyzer software. I hope Tim can fix it in the modules and the main program. God bless you, Tim, for a great program and tools for studying God's Holy Word.

Just a follow-up to my previous post, I tried arcanemuse's workaround, and it is unsatisfactory for me. That workaround makes all Windows modules, i.e., Explorer windows, Settings windows, etc., run in light mode. So, please try to fix this, Tim. I want to buy LexiScope, but I will wait to see if a fix comes through.
