I heard that Logos Bible Software has a free core engine, and I've never used it, so yesterday I tried to install the free Logos Desktop app for Windows, which can be downloaded here:
https://www.logos.com/get-started
The install began, and then immediately aborted because I have only 10 GB free space on my C: drive, and Logos requires more than 11 GB to install!.
Something is quite wrong here! Yeah, I probably need 5 or 10 more GB free space, but Logos is asking too much. I checked their system requirements:
OS required, Windows 11 (Windows 10 will work temporarily, but Windows 11 will be required in 2026)
Disk space for the install: 30 GB (yes, you read that right)

Yikes!

Re: Size of Logos Bible Study install
Yes, I installed it, too, and it is a hog.
It has some nice features if you want to pay every month. The page that shocked me was their add-on libraries. They highlight the one that is over $9000...
I just wanted to try their AI features. I was under the impression they were local but they are not. They use online servers.
I am working on an entirely local AI BIble study system that even with the large AI models required will not be half the size of Logos basic install.
