Problem when Make Bible Italics Gray option is off
In case it wasn't noticed already, when the option "Make Bible Italics Gray" option is turned off, the words that would normally be gray (inside of italic tags) inside of red letter tags (Jesus' words) become black instead of red.

That is because the italicized words are added words. Since they were not translated from an original language word they were not directly spoken by the Lord, but they are necessary (or at least helpful) when translated into English.

I respect your opinion; however, I cannot agree with it. Let's look at something together, line by line.
Who promised to preserve His word?
How does He accomplish that promise?
Is it sin to add to or to take away from God's word?
Has the Holy Ghost ever inspired men to sin?
To fulfill His promise, can this work of the Holy Ghost in any way be hindered by any creature or temporal resource?
Can God lie?
So then, where did those italic words really come from?
If they came from God then they are pure. If they didn't come from God then not only is adding them sin but also it is not God's undefiled word.
Who promised to preserve His word?
Psalms 12:6-7
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Mat 24:35, Mar 13:31, Luk 21:33
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
How does He accomplish that promise?
2 Peter 1:21
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Is it sin to add to or to take away from God's word?
Deuteronomy 4:2
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 12:32
What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Has the Holy Ghost ever inspired men to sin?
James 1:13-14
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
To fulfill His promise, can this work of the Holy Ghost in any way be hindered by any creature or temporal resource?
Isaiah 55:10-11
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Can God lie?
Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
So then, where did those italic words really come from?
If they came from God then they are pure. If they didn't come from God then not only is adding them sin but also it is not God's undefiled word.
