I finally got the time to get Linux Mint Cinnamon 22 loaded and was hoping to get some help with transferring my modules, notes, Bibles and Commentaries over. I moved the modules folder over and all seems to be visible except for the notes/verse. I even got "MY NOTES" to show up in commentary tab, but can't seem to find where or what verses they are attached to.
Now I might add I show 3 of each bible and commentary that have installed/purchased which is annoying but not a deal breaker, only one each shows in folder of the "bib" and "cmt" modules.
I thought I knew where the notes resided, but still can't seem to find or remember what i did when upgrading on windows to newer versions.
I installed Beta 5.6.1.03
Cinnamon 22 /6.2.9
Thank you in advance, Great work and product!
Move from Windows to Linux
Re: Move from Windows to Linux
Okay I got the duplicates fixed. apparently BA looks in all sub-folders of the "Bibleanalyzer" in use and i had multiple copies for testing the transition. I still am have the other issues mentioned in main request.
Re: Move from Windows to Linux
The notes files all end with .nts. "default.nts" is the only one unless you make more.
Just copy it to your User Data folder and Bible Analyzer should find it. (You can find the User Data folder from the Bible Analyzer Tools menu.)

Re: Move from Windows to Linux
Tim,
So the "default.nts" shows where you said. I had already copied it with the modules, but it still don't show the notes made from within the windows version. I have it opened on another laptop with windows and can see the notes there that are present and these have always transferred with my previous upgrades within windows version.
Any thoughts of what could be the issue? Can this file be renamed "new name.nts" and then re-selected from within?

Hello Mike,
I also have Linux Mint 22, although I use the MATE desktop environment instead of Cinammon. I have used Bible Analyzer on Windows and Linux for a few years, and would be glad to help investigate or troubleshoot any problems in seeing your Bible commentaries show up. Feel free to ask.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
