Error Running "Normal" BA 5.5 for Linux; No Error Running as Root

Post by colojohn »

Hi. Whenever I open BA on Ubuntu 22.04, I get the following error message:

System Architecture: 64bit x86_64
Frozen: True

#---- End System Information ----#

#---- Traceback Info ----#

*** Sun Dec 1 15:25:48 2024 ***
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "wx/core.py", line 3427, in <lambda>
File "editor2.py", line 813, in OnNew
FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: ' '

#---- End Traceback Info ----#

However, when I run "sudo bibleanalyzer" from the terminal, BA opens and I get no error. What can I do to fix this problem because I'd rather not run in root mode.

Thanks, colojohn

Try deleting the config.ini file in the USER/.config folder.
