Weird Search Results and ACF issue

Post by 2mc »

Scenario:
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Bible Analyzer version 5.6.1.10
A custom session is active.
LSBs is loaded in Bible Window.
There are no prior Search Tabs open in Results Window.
Advanced Search employed with these settings: New Test., Every Word or Phrase, search term--tempt, Whole Word, Root Words (Stemming)
Snippets employed in Results Window.

The summary at the top:
Every word: tempt, LSBs (Mat-),
Verses 1 through 22 of 22,
2 hits shown of 2

There are 22 verses listed as snippets.

Weird 1:
The snippets contain inline Strong's numbers and letter cross-references.

ACF Issue:
In the Results Window, I select ACF and it opens with ONLY 2 verses. The only two that have the word 'tempt' but not the 'stemmed' words from 'tempt'.

Weird 2:
In the Results Window with the 22 snippets, I click the snippets button to disengage the snippets. I get only 2 full verses with the same Weird 1 issue.

Weird 3:
I click the snippets button to engage the snippets again, hoping to get back the original 22 snippets. Instead of 22 snippets, I only get 2.

Am I doing something wrong? Or, is there an issue?

As a sanity check, I did the following:

With everything the same as in the prior scenario, I unchecked Root Words (Stemming) and instead of the search term--tempt, I used tempt* instead.

The result is what I expected the other scenario to produce. There were 22 verses with 29 hits.

ACF worked correctly. Engaging and disengaging Snippets seamlessly worked as one would expect.

This leads me to wonder whether there is an issue with Root Words (Stemming) or my understanding of Root Words (Stemming).

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I need to look at the stemming module and maybe even remove that function. The wildcard * is preferable.
