Audio Settings are not Saved

When I select and change the Default Voice and slow the Speech Rate and then SAVE, these settings are not maintained after I close Bible Analyzer and open it again later. I'm using download for MacOS 5.51.30. And the app will not open from Launchpad but opens only from the Application folder. Everything else seems to work fine.
