BA 5.4 Windows update not put in user's Desktop

Post by epement »

I have Bible Analyzer ver 5.4.1.22 for Windows 10 installed in the default location. I used the menubar to choose "Help > Check for Update" and it located an update ready for download. The download occurred and a small pop-up information window said,

Download Sucessfull. Download was Successfull to your Desktop
To install, close Bible Analyzer and run the update.

Apart from the fact that "successful" was misspelled twice, my reason for writing is that the Download did not go to the Windows Desktop.

On my Windows 10 desktop, the default location is "%userprofile%\Desktop", a directory which does not actually exist, but which is remapped to "%userprofile%\OneDrive\Desktop". The update file was not put here, as the message stated.

Instead, the update file bibleanalyzer551-setup.exe was saved to my "%userprofile%" directory.

Please check to see if this issue affects other users, and update the message if it seems warranted.
