Daily Devotional & Journal errors

Hi Tim
I'm finding the Daily Devotional & Journal stops working and/or crashes when i use various features, i.e., scroll click the dates, click the "Close" button or it just stops doing anything.
By the way, is it possible to add a little pop-up calendar option instead of the day/month/year on the bottom left?
BA 5.4 on OS 10.12.6
