BA Install issue with logfile- no permission.

Post by dr.eason@hotmail.com »

I am planning to take a laptop with me on a trip to Kentucky and wanted to listen to the Bible from BA. I attempted to install BA on a laptop but getting a log permission error. I checked and I am the admin.

Thanks,

Antone

Further research- I set the BA folder files as normal- they were installed as read-only but that did not resolve the issue. I also check the BA directory and there is no Log file either hidden or normal.

If it is a normal install (not Portable), it tries to write any log file to the Program Files folder which usually has restrictions.

Try doing a Portable install in one folder and see if it will work.

Yes, I tried that as well and copied the log file from portable to the normal install- all fails. I also tried to run it as admin by right clicking on the BA and selecting run as admin, but again fails. I tried using older version but link only returns back to main BA page.

What does the log file say when in portable mode? Paste it here or email.
