Re: Bible Links in selfmade Module

Here you go: <a href="stng/G3390">μητρόπολις</a> I copied this from one of the Strong's dictionary modules where it was referencing another entry. Just substitute whatever Strong's number you need for "G3390" and the text inside the <a></a> HTML tag (in this case "μητρόπολις...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.4 beta (Linux)

I'm glad I was able to be helpful... You shouldn't have had trouble with Ubuntu. I understand that Tim uses Linux Mint to test the Linux version of BA, and Linux Mint is based off of the same GNOME graphic libraries that Ubuntu uses for their desktop. If you aren't satisfied with Kubuntu then you mi...

Re: Bible Links in selfmade Module

Actually, you can because I've done it before. First though, I did a quick look at your file and I noticed links like: <a href="bible://1Co 14:2.4.15-16"> 1. Korinther 14,2.4.15-16</a> The Bible references have to use the notation that BA recognizes. For instance, in the "href" a...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.4 beta (Linux)

Since the official release of Groovy Gorilla (Ubuntu 20.10) was Oct. 22, 2020 (if I'm remembering correctly) you shouldn't be on the beta any longer. There will be updates obviously to correct bugs as time progresses but you should have a reasonably stable OS. Wayland is a newer experimental mechani...

Re: colour schemes for BA? howto

Tim will have to confirm this, but you seem to be suffering from an issue caused by underlying library changes in the OS. The GUI library that BA is based on has to be updated to be compatible with these changes and Tim has a beta version of BA with these changes, but it requires an upgrade of the O...

Re: BA on Ubuntu Mate 18.04

The blue windows seem to occur only on some distros and certain themes. Some users can change their current theme and eliminate it. The flashes when certain windows or panels update is likely some sort of refresh or update issue in the underlying wx code. I'm not sure what the cause is. I'm working...

Re: Rearranging modules

Sorry, just now saw your reply... Maybe the problem with the RTL display of Hebrew text is due to the way the wxWidgets library that Tim uses in BibleAnalyzer handles RTL fonts. Not being familiar with wxWidgets or how RTL fonts are handled in the Windows API, I'm not able to competently comment on ...

Re: Rearranging modules

It's hard to tell what caused the crash. Each flavor of Linux has its own quirks and peculiarities. I have never tried PlayOnLinux. PlayOnLinux is framework intended to help run Windows software in Linux under Wine, so this crash probably isn't specifically a Linux issue but a Wine issue. It's emul...

Re: BA on Ubuntu Mate 18.04

Hi Robert I am not having any color issues, but am having bigger issues and no response from Tim on a resolution. I am pushed to delve deeper into original language study, to know and understand what God is saying in His word. 1. Tim has indicated (correct me if I am mistaken Tim) there is not enou...

Re: BA on Ubuntu Mate 18.04

Robert, I am working on the 5.3 Linux edition and may be able to work around the blue color issue. GTK3, which was introduced with 18.04 has caused some other issues. One of the main ones is RTL display of Hebrew texts. They made a change in GTK3 that the platform Bible Analyzer uses (wxWidgets/wxP...
