Bug selecting commentary entry in Linux version

I'm running the Linux version of BA (v. 5.5.1.02) on Kubuntu under the KDE desktop. I'm seeing a problem that I'm surprised that's not already been reported, unless I've missed it. When you use the mouse to click the down-arrow on the Commentary window's drop-down to select an entry, you can click a...

Re: 5.5.1.02 Download Manager crash

I'm not having any problems with downloading modules. I'm also running BA 5.5.1.02 but on Kubuntu 23.04. If it has never worked on your OS, then maybe BA is looking for a system call or some service provided by the OS that your OS doesn't have installed or is providing. If it suddenly quick working,...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.5 Beta (Linux)

I searched through every email folder on both my local machine (I use Thunderbird for email) and online using Charter's web interface. I cannot find any newsletter emails since November 2019 (I guess it's been longer than I thought). In fact, I don't get email notifications for any forum threads I'm...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.5 Beta (Linux)

Never mind. When I went to the download page to get the latest Linux version I saw the place to subscribe to the newsletter. I submitted my email address again.

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.5 Beta (Linux)

I've not received a newsletter in several months. I figured that you'd stopped sending them via email. Is there something I need to do to resubmit my email address for receiving the newsletter?

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.5 Beta (Linux)

I've come across a bug in the Linux beta. This only happens once something (word or reference) has been typed in the quick search box in the tool bar. Thereafter, if you advance the Bible window to either the previous or next chapter, then the drop down portion of the search box appears with one ent...

Italics problem in Acts 26:3 of AVs

Acts 26:3 is missing the closing italics tag ("</i>") immediately after the phrase (and its associated Strongs numbers) "because I know" in the PCE version of the AVs. You don't see the problem when the STrong's setting for the Bible window is set to "Strong's Data Transpare...

Re: How to Package?

I've been away from this forum for a while and just now read this post. I have no experience building .deb files so I don't know if you can embed a shell script within one and have it execute during its installation. If it's possible, then could you write a shell script that would do the things that...

Re: Two errors on start-up of BA 5.5

I'm assuming you are using Crossover to run the Windows version of BA under Linux. The error seems to be that BA is not finding the speech engine that comes in Windows by default. Installing that is something that you would probably need to ask the Crossover people for help to install. I know very l...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.5 Beta (Linux)

I've been busy and only now was able to return to this thread. I downloaded and installed the latest beta of BA (v. 5.5.0.32) and the problem I had documented earlier concerning clicking the down-arrows seems to be fixed. However, when I click inside the S-Pad window to edit the contents, the conten...
