Re: The Perfect BibleAnalyzer Experience on Any Distro

Tested and works fine on Ubuntu 25.10 (CachyOS [Arch] host). Note that if you have access to the AUR (Arch User Repository) there is a PKGBUILD available for Bibleanaylzer (it also works fine on CachyOS/Arch). distrobox create --image ubuntu:rolling --name bibleanalyzer --home ~/.bibleanalyzercontai...

Re: Problem when Make Bible Italics Gray option is off

I respect your opinion; however, I cannot agree with it. Let's look at something together, line by line. Who promised to preserve His word? Psalms 12:6-7 6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD , thou shalt p...

Text missing in Exo 23:23 AVs

Exodus 23:23 is missing the text " off[H3582]." from the end of the verse. I noticed it on Win11 BA 5.6.5.04. Verified with a new download of BA 5.6.1.05 in a Ubuntu VM. This affects the module named "AVs": The Authorized King James Version, 1611 Pure Cambridge Edition Red-Letter...

Matthew Henry concise commentary display issue

The MHC for Judges ends showing correctly at Jdg 18 and continues to show the incorrect text through Jdg 21 (it shows the summary for the book of Ruth instead). The first screenshot shows the text for Jdg 17, and the second screen shot is what BA 5.6.1.10 (Windows 11) shows for Jdg 18-21. Screenshot...

Problem when Make Bible Italics Gray option is off

In case it wasn't noticed already, when the option "Make Bible Italics Gray" option is turned off, the words that would normally be gray (inside of italic tags) inside of red letter tags (Jesus' words) become black instead of red.

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.6 beta (Windows)

I also tried again on the same Windows 7 but on an iMac 7.1 (analog recording machine from something someone was throwing away - I repurposed this one after the mobo fried in the other one) and BA 5.6 will not launch for the same reason. I did a little more digging into the error itself (to see if i...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.6 beta (Windows)

So, the motherboard fried on that Windows 7 machine and I had to recreate the whole environment in a virtual machine. This time it was actually fully updated. I installed the offline update pack and then ran windows update installing every update available (including optional). The result was the sa...

Re: Bible Analyzer 5.6 beta (Windows)

I wrote too soon. After installing the offline update pack, Windows update now wants to work (I mistakenly assumed the update pack had all the updates available for Win7). It's quite a few updates and I have a busy day today but I'll try 5.6 again after I'm sure it's fully updated.
