Practical Commentaries Collection

Most will agree, some commentaries are just more readable and practical than others. We have put together a set of commentaries that are among the "top of the class" concerning "readability" and "practicality." These five easy to use resources will benefit any believer.

• An Interpretation of the English Bible, B. H. Carroll
  This title is more an intrepretation of the Bible from a Conservative perspective that a strict commentary. Carroll (who was President of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) with his knowledgable and sometimes humorous style expounds upon nearly every passage of the Scriptures.
  
  
• Commentary - Old and New Testaments, Trapp
  This is the oldest and largest commentary of the lot. Previously we released the NT portion, but now the complete text is available, with the NT updated as well. Trapp was one of Spurgeon's favorites with his pithy and practical comments. It will be one of yours also.
  
  
• Expositions of Holy Scripture, Maclaren
  Called the "prince of expositors," Alexander MacLaren was a renowned preache. This module brings together many of the sermons over his fifty years in ministry. It has been updated to include all available MacLaren material: over 1600 sermons (12,000 pages)
  
  
• Commentary Practical and Explanatory, JFB
  This resource, authored by Robert Jamieson, A. R. Fausset, and David Brown, is regarded by many as the best one-volume commentary in existance. It is readable, practical, and conservative. We have updated it by adding the Introductions and Tables that are found in the printed edition.
  
  
• One Volume Commentary, Dummelow
  One of the most popular commentaries of the 20th century. Although not as conservative as the others, it is still quite helpful with detailed introductions and concise comments. All maps and images from the printed edition are included.
