User notes

Post by mitch@crn.hopto.org »

I have very extensive notes in 5.4.0.50 (Linux version) and would like to make sure I do not lose them. I tried to export them via the "Export User Notes to a File" and I get an error. "XML parsing error" 'no element found' at line 1" I tried to complete the form to send this to you, but I get no indication that it works.

Can you tell me the name in location of this file that sore my notes, and the format that it is in?

I do understand that this is not in production yet, but I do not want to lose the work I have in my notes.

Thank you for your time.

It is very prudent to want to backup/protect your notes.

If you did not create a new notes session, the notes are saved in the file default.nts under
~/Documents/BibleAnalyzer/default.nts

If you did create a new notes session, the .nts files will have the name of the session. (i.e. new-notes.nts)

The file format is SQLite and can be read with any SQLite database viewer.

We will fix the export feature with v5.5
