Bible Analyzer 4.1 Released

Post by Tim »

We have just released Bible Analyzer Version 4.1 plus two free modules and one premium upgrade.

AV-Strong's Index

One of the major new features of v4.1 is the AV-Strong's Index capabilities. We have enhanced and expanded the Strongs Dictionaries (now called StrongEx) to include a complete list of all Authorized Version occurrences below each definition. We also developed an index where one can enter any AV word (or select from the right-click menu) and get a list of all original language words the English word translates. At right is a video showing them in action.

http://www.BibleAnalyzer.com/tutorials/cloud.html

The new StrongEx module is now part of our Premium Word-Study Bundle, but users who already have the Word-Study Bundle can add the StrongEX module for only $2 by using this special link,

http://www.BibleAnalyzer.com/orderStrong/ipn.php?buy

(This special upgrade is NOT available from the Bible Analyzer Store, only here)

Users who want the entire Word-Study Bundle ($5 for 8 resources) can use this special link,

Other features include ability to export User Notes, improved Strong's searching, ability to change font size with keyboard shortcuts (Crtl++, Ctrl+-), and more

Downloaded the "BibleAnalyzer410-setup.exe" software (14,462KB) TWICE and have installed / re-installed it 3 times but it fails to launch with system message ... "BA has encountered a problem & needs to close.... ". Was previously using BibleAnalyzer393-setup.exe (13,863KB) software successfully (with modules). Before installing 410, I uninstalled the old version + modules.
Can anyone help to solve problem?

What operating system are you using? XP, Vista, 7?

You do not need to uninstall 3.9 to install 4.1, but that is already done. Did you have any added modules or just the ones that came with the 3.9 setup?

Does anything show up on the screen before you get the error message?

In the meanwhile, download this small reset file and run it and see if it helps,

Look in your Program Files/Bible Analyzer 4 folder and see if you have all these files.

Hi Tim,

I reinstalled BA393 & modules (it works fine). Also reinstalled BA410 but same error msg occurs. Files in C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4 are as follows:

C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\BA-Reset.exe
C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\BibleAnalyzer4.exe
C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\License.txt
C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\manual.chm
C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\msvcp71.dll
C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\MSVCR71.dll
C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\python25.dll
C:\Program Files\Bible Analyzer 4\uninstall.exe

I noticed there was no "quotes.txt" file & created an empty quotes.txt file to see if it would change startup, but nochange (then, deleted empty file).

The following are list of modules installed:

Audio\Amazing Grace (variations).mid

Well, I don't know what the issue is. I just tried the 4.1.0 setup on my XP system again and it ran fine. Other XP users have installed it as well. It seems like there is a system file missing, but v4 does not have any more system dependencies that v3.9.

I'll continue to look into this.

Hi Tim,

I tried the BA Portable version & had the same start-up problem (only BA 4.1.x). I did, however, come up with a solution. If I momentarily turn off my anti-virus (BitDefender AV 2010), BA starts & runs fine. Nothing in BitDefender indicates anything wrong with BA s/w. Neither does scanning source BA file(s) or the Program-folder installed files indicate any "threat". I updated to BA 4.1.1 but still the start-up problem exists. At least I have a work-around, and perhaps this might help narrow-down what may be the issue. Incidently, I have never seen this behaviour with any other software starting-up. I'm running 32-bit XP SP3. I have~30 days more of my license for BitDefender 10 & then I will install a new version & perhaps this will change things.

I also will try on a 64-bit Vista system and also on a 64-bit Windows7-Prof system.

Blessings
