Linux copy issue

Post by srice »

When I select a passage, I mean highlight it and right click and select copy, it doesn't. I go to my word processor and select paste, and it is empty. I do this often. Same thing with the Scripture pad or anything else. If I copy and paste within BA it is fine and pastes, however if I want to work outside of BA (Word Processor, or Web page, or Email) it refuses to paste anywhere outside of BA. Any ideas? Or work arounds?

Shane

PS, the workaround I use is highlight the text or passage I want, and then press my scroll button where I want to paste it (outside of BA) and that does it. This is a normal Linux feature that is like a paste, but it is different it that it is never 'copied' officially. Also pressing the right and left button at the same time works as well, in the absence of a scroll wheel.

The Linux clipboard may not be getting the data.

Try right clicking on a verse and export it to SPad. (That also copies the verse to the clipboard, at least in Windows) and then try to paste somewhere. If that doesn't work Bible Analyzer must not be talking to the clipboard correctly. Will check it out.

Bro. Tim,

No, when I export it to the Scripture Pad it also seems to evade the clipboard. Pasting pastes what was in the clipboard from before, but not the newly exported verse. I figured it was more than likely a bug. If I can run any further tests let me know!
