Notes from New Defender's Study Bible

Post by jayman »

Hi Tim,

I wanted to thank you for making the Pulpit Commentary available; this is something I've wanted but had not been able to locate. I was wondering if the notes by Henry Morris from the New Defender's Study Bible could be made into a commentary module? It's likely still under copyright, but perhaps the publisher would allow distribution for a fee. I appreciate your consideration.

Thanks,

Jay

I have contacted the publisher many times over the past year, but I have not, to date, ever had a response. It has been a while, perhaps time to try again.

Glad you like the Pulpit Commentary.

The New Defender's Study Bible is a different issue. Where the PC is public domain, this is not. I have not tried to contact them as Brother Mike has, but I would likely get the same non-response. This is typically the case with the larger publishers. They do not have time for us "small-fry" and often don't even reply. It would not be that hard to make a module of the DSB from the notes they have online, but there is not much point since it cannot be distributed. I may try to contact them, though.

However, we have another very significant commentary in the works. I'm not ready to announce it just yet, but it will be another Bible Analyzer exclusive. Unlike nearly all other commentaries, it was written from a Fundamental, Pre-Millennial, KJB Believing perspective. It is over 8100 pages long, and very helpful. In my opinion it is the best and most sound commentary set available and much more useful than any other commentary Bible Analyzer or any other software offers. Lord willing, we will be able to release it fairly soon.

Also, we have a TSKe coming. It is a greatly enhanced and expanded version of the TSK. It is nearly double the size of the regular TSK with reciprocal references and headings. It will be released as a free module soon.

Quickverse has the Defenders Study Bible module for $10. It's the only reason I still have Quickverse installed. Also notice they want BIG bucks for their Pulpit Commentary ($129!!!).

We are going to send ICR a "Media Kit" (after we make one. They asked for one when we emailed them) and see how it goes from there.

The Pulpit Com. is public domain but since it is so large, I guess they figure that justifies a large price.

They never replied to our "Media Kit." I sent a follow-up email and they never replied to it either.
It looks like they are not interested.
