I've been using Ubuntu 9.04 since April 09. I love it, but the Bible study packages are quite disappointing. I came across Bibleanalyzer yesterday by accident. It is great... the selections of the three products offered, the fact that one is free, the low prices, and most of all.... it is Linux.
I installed the free version and it worked just great. I was so impressed, that I immediately put a link to the software on our website, as I have a little box on the homepage to book resources that I consider exceptional or helpful.
A few hours later, I decided to look at it again, but it will not open. The manual will open, but on clicking the program, the title page appears and then disappears. I did a search and can only find a file for Bibleanalyzer in my download folder... nothing anywhere else. I reinstalled without uninstalling, but that did not help. I guess I should uninstall and reinstall, but I'm not sure how to do that using the terminal, which I have almost no experience with, though I have read about it. Bibleanalyzer is not in the synaptic package and not in add and remove programs.
I'd like to resolve this, as I'd like to keep the link to the software on my homepage, and I think this will be a great help to people. Also, if I recover from Christmas expenses, I would like to try the disc version. Any advice would be appreciated.
