Wish List

Post by Brother Mike »

In the "Copy Format Style", I think it would be helpful to have an option to include the full book name as well as an abbreviated format (in case you had not guessed, I like full book names :P )

That will be easy to do. I'll probably get it in the next release, 3.7

I think in the library viewer, having the list of books available in alphabetical order would be a great help.

Actually they are in alphabetical order, of a sort. That is they are displayed in the alphabetical orded of the filename, not the title which can be different. I'll look into that, but for now you can manipulate the filenames to match the title (found in title brackets <title>Book Title</title>) to get the right order.

By the way I found the issue with the Linux version not showing the second or more set of search hits. The dumb programmer forgot something. I will try to upload it tonight.

The problem with the "Which Translation Should You Trust?" book Introduction is the little copyright symbol. For some reason Ubuntu couldn't handle it. Delete that single symbol and it should display.

Thanks, Tim. Seems you have been busy.

I received my CD in the mail on Wednesday. Of course, that was the day I was leaving to go camping, so I have not had an opportunity to test drive the full version. I'll get to that this week.

Have a blessed Resurrection Day!!

Hi Tim,

A fix for that search issue by the "inundated programmer" will be appreciated.

The copyright symbol fix worked just fine.

Now, hopefully I don't come off sounding dense, but the Library Viewer alpha list still has me troubles. My directory listing goes like this (partial):
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 1197609 2009-04-08 14:54 abstract.htm
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 201862 2009-04-08 14:54 attributes.htm
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 12721 2009-02-21 12:44 cd.htm

Thanks for all the time you give to this project.

First, look in the Linux forum pages for the link to the updated version 3.6.2. It fixes the search issue.

Concerning the list of the books, Linux must not order books alphabetically except for display or the app retrieves the list randomly in Linux. Windows is a little different. I think I can work something out for 3.7.

Thanks Tim, I will install the Linux update tonight.

Yes, Ubuntu may be delivering the file list differently to the Library Viewer.

Not a biggie, but could the Library Viewer accept both .htm and .html

Would anyone find that useful?

Kubuntu Linux, 9.04
BA 3.6.2b

Wish List
1) Folder in home directory for user created modules. Preferably a preference option for custom names and usage.
2) Folder in home directory for user images (same as above).

I find it useful to keep these custom bits in my home dir, and not in the program directory. Although the app directory is better for multi user environments.
