Other Strong's dictionaries in popup

Post by JPG »

Hi Tim,
is there a particular setting or spec for a Strong's dictionary eg BDB Thayer to get it to be used as a popup in Bible view.

At this time only Strong's dictionaries can be used for the Strong's popups in the Bible and other windows. The issue is Thayers (and others) need to be formatted differently for them to display properly in a popup. We just haven't done that yet.

Would you have a specification document for the needed formatting?

No, because the formatting is done on the fly within the Bible Analyzer code when a popup is called. It is not the formatting of the module itself. Sorry for not being clear about that.

Without some added formatting for the popups the popup display would look identical to the dictionary display, which is not always the best for popups. Also, Thayers does not have the Tense, Voice, Mood definitions thus there would not be a popup for those numbers.

I'll look into adapting Thayers for popups.
