Ubuntu 13.10

Post by MPaul »

I just installed Ubuntu 13.10 (very nice OS). However, the Software Center notes that BA is not available for this version of Ubuntu as of yet. I assume this is accurate, but just checking.

Just download the file from the BA website. Works just fine for me, Kubuntu 13.10. I cannot remember if it was in the respositories or not.

Yes, it works. It went straight in. It worked fine. Then, I copied all my module files from the cloud to the Bible Analyzer folder in Documents. They all loaded up with opening BA, but there was a slight delay to create an index. However, then BA froze my computer. So I restarted with a hard shut down, and then everything operated OK. It takes a little longer to open BA with a lot of modules.

Well, this makes everything easy for updating to a new OS. Download from website, and copy modules from the cloud. It's all very quick.

Thanks for the help, as always.

Good to hear.

You may want to run the following from a command line:

Code: Select all

sudo bibleanalyzer
This should reindex and should start faster after that. Usually works
