I plan on reworking some of the folder issues in both Windows and Linux. Version 3.7 will use the User folder for saving files instead of the program folder. Don't know what all I'll get done for 3.7.

Hello Brother, I hope this message find you and yours well.

I have a few suggestions:

1) In the modules area, when a range of verses is selected from a module or library resource (i.e. Rom 2:2-8), it appears that only the first 3 verses are displayed with a "cont..." after the last. One needs to double click to see all the verses in the Bible pane. In the Bible pane, only the first verse is highlighted. It would be helpful if the entire passage were highlighted.

2) This is along the same lines as the first. When using the "Go To Verse" box to quickly locate a verse, when a range is entered, only the first verse of the passage is highlighted. Again, helpful to have the entire passage highlighted.

Concerning the popups not showing all the verese of a longer range, this is intended to keep a long range from filling the whole screen with the popup. I always disliked that when it happened in other apps. So with Bible Analyzer it will only show the amount of the range selected in preferences. You select the Maximun Popup Verse Range to be from 1 to 7 verses. Would you like that limit to be increased to say, 10? I just don't want to fill the screen with dozens of verses.

Also, if you want to view a verse in context without making it the current verse, right click on it and select View Context in MW to see the verse in the context of the chapter.

It may be possible to highlite the whole range. I'll look into it. Just remember highliting is not selecting. Highliting just singles out the current verse.

I expected that there was a limit. It can be changed if needed and I think 7 should be fine. I agree that too many verses in a pop-up would be cumbersome at best.

I'll check this out.

This is purely for convenience. I think it would just be easier if the whole passage is highlighted. It just lets the whole passage stand out.

As always, thanks for your reply, and openness to suggestions.

I'm new here and this maybe should be obvious but, I carry and teach from the Scofield's NKJV mainly it saves me answering a lot of questions by new believers. What I wish is the capitalization of the personnal pronouns in the AV when used to referance 'God', 'the Lord Jesus'', I find my self copying and pasteing from the NKJV mainly because of that. I agree that the AV is the standard and I prefer it to all other translations, just a day dream of an old man perhaps anyway I'm useing your program more and more.

Thanks for your work
Larry

I don't know of an AV available which had the pronouns of deity capitalized, but if anyone knows of one and we can get the text, we will distribute it.

It would be a pretty big job to make one manually because whether a pronoun should be capitalized or not is determined by the context. Might be a nice winter project for someone...?

Recently on our doctrine website we posted an article related to such non-verbal changes in the AV text. If you are interested, here's the link, http://www.preservedwords.com/extent.htm

Well yes it might be a good winter project! Since the NKJV already has them capitalized if I could get an editable copy of the AV, I could read and edit the AV while viewing them side by side. Then you could use your bible compare feature to see that nothing else was changed. I'm just thinking out loud but seems doable. I wonder how long that would really take spending a couple hours a day. I use to be a computer programmer before I retired, I may be able to write a program and look for the pronouns and let the operator change the case of the first letter. I would still need a copy of the AV which I could edit. Oh well maybe.

OK I just copied the book of Matthew from your Analyzer to Wordperfect (or Word) and did a find and replace of 'him' with 'Him' that was about 25 minutes, I think it is doable by just using WordPerfect. It would be nice to be able to copy the color attribute for the words in red. To find and replace all the pronouns may take up to 2 hours but still not so bad.

I am away from home at the moment but sometime tomorrow evening (11-12) I will send you a link to the AV used by Bible Analyzer in text format. It can be edited in any text editor (I use Notepad++).

As for finding the pronouns, a script could easily do it, but one has to read the context of each to determine if it refers to deity.

Here is the raw text of the av1769.bib module. It has italic and red letter tags, also.

Thanks but how do I open it and with what, none of my software opens 'bib' files. I copied it into BA bibles folder but it was already there the same size file.
