To Quit or not to Quit

Working on a Mac platform, I have noticed an odd behavior. There are a few options to quit out of the program, and I don't really understand the difference. Clicking on "Bible Analyzer" in the menu bar, I have two options at the bottom to quit. "Quit Bible Analyzer" and "Quit and Keep Windows". Clicking either results in a pop up window, "Verses from References" that is blank. I can click on the red x, and it goes away, and the program doesn't exit. Or I can click on the 'hide' button at the bottom, and program doesn't exit out either. It doesn't matter what option on the Bible Analyzer menu I choose, results is the same. However, if I click on File (in the menu bar) -> Quit, it asks me if I want to save my work in s-pad, and exits out correctly.
Here is the odd part. If I open BA, and don't do anything (don't study) and test this, it closes out normally when I run through the first menu options listed above. However if one verses is exported to the s-pad, it goes through the problem I explained. I often export to the s-pad, because it copies it to my clipboard, and I paste it in my word processor.
This is just a minor issue that I have run into, and wanted to let you know about it. It seems a redundancy in the menus too. Perhaps there is a reason though.
