locks when clicking outside links

When I am in b.a. and I click on an outside link under the 'Help' tab, e.g. as "Bible Analyzer Update/Modules the program will lock up.

Hum, what OS are you using, XP, Vista, 7. What is the version number under Help/About.

ver. 3.9.2b I am using Win xp service pack3.
I had something similar happen with Logos and it stumped the tecnicians for several weeks until they came up with a fix which consisted of going deep into the Windows settings and unclicking something to do with text recognition...but I can't recall exactly

Bible Analyzer is developed on an XP machine so I'm not sure where to look. Does the app just freeze and you have to close it using Task manager or does Windows itself freeze? Also, does the Error Reporter come up with an error log?

No error log. When I click on an external link within the menu barthe mouse's pointer will turn into an hour glass and the mouse will move around the program but have no response when you click on say the bible verse opener.
