Help! I downloaded & installed the new version 3.9 It worked fine for a day, then I lost my commentary's. I tried to uninstall all of my bible analyzer files, re-install 3.7 then tried the update 3.9 then converted 3.7 and older files, I still can't get commentary's to come up. What is wrong?

Do you have the CD of 3.7? If so the modules folder is in a different place than for 3.8 and later.

Here is a small file that will copy the Modules folder to the new location 3.9 needs,
http://www.BibleAnalyzer.com/BAcopy.exe

If you still can't find them, let us know.

Hello Again!

I tried the copy that you suggested, but it still does not recognize my commentary's. It only list three of them. I know that with the 3.7 they are all listed. Well I mean that they come up as they should! I am using windows xp home edition. I really like the 3.9 new features, but it don't help unless I can use it. Any more help?

When running 3.9, under the Tools menu there is an entry that will Open the Modules Folder. Click that and you will see where the modules need to be, in their respective folders, for 3.9. The odd thing is the 3.7 modules should already be there because they use the same folder.

Open the Commentaries folder and let me know how many files are in there. If there are only 6 (3 .cmt and 3 .idx) then the 3.7 folders are not there. If around 20-30 files then they are.

Also, go to Preferences/Manage Library and be sure all the Commentary modules are checked.

Let me know how many modules are in the commentary folder.

It's Me Again!

I don't mean to be a pest. But I completely removed all versions on my computer. I re-installed 3.7, then I re-downloaded the 3.9 update and installed, then converted files. Now I have all of my commentary's listed, however when I bring up John 1:1 in the 3.9 versions only two are listed there is commentary. Adam Clark - PNT
But when I go to the 3.7 versions at the same scripture, almost all the commentary are listed to view. What next?

Oh by the way thank you for the help!!

Hello Again In The Name Of The LORD!

I am not sure what happened, however I went into the preferences and unchecked all the commentary's, then I re-checked all of them and saved, shut down the program, then restarted my computer and opened the bible program, and now all of my commentary's are working o.k. (PRAISE THE LORD).

Maybe this might be a help to someone else having this problem?

Again thank you for your help, your work on this GREAT BIBLE PROGRAM.

I see now. You are talking about the commentaries showing they have a "hit" by having the little green book icon in the tab title. Bible Analyzer3.9 behaves a little differently in that regard. When it starts it displays a whole chapter without any verse highlighted. There is no current verse selected but there is a current chapter. In your case John chapter 1. The two commentaries you are seeing are the only two that have comments on the chapter, not the verse. Some commentaries have comments on the book, chapter, and each verse separately. 3.9 will let you view them all individually.

If you click in verse 1 in the Bible window it will be selected and then the commentaries will update and probably all of them will show a hit on John 1:1.
