No, you computer is definitely not under-powered, but I don't understand why you are getting a scrolling issue. I actually do most of my development on an 8 year old dual core AMD and its scrolls with just a little lag at 300 verses with SN. On my newer i5 Intel it is smooth.

Continuous scrolling would be nice, but the display control behind Bible Analyzer does not readily support it. Actually, a virtual list like the verse list in the ACF (and dropdown lists) would be ideal, but they do not support some of the HTML formatting BA currently uses.

Tim, thanks for looking into this matter. Maybe some other voices will come forward and mention what scroll results they get with Strong's numbers visible and a search for the word "faith" in the AVs module, as benchmark.

It takes me .72 minutes to scroll the whole list of search results with SN on using the down button at the bottom of the vertical scroll bar.

Every Word: faith, AVs (Entire Text),
Verses 1 through 231 of 231,
247 hits shown of 247

I run an HP Pavilion laptop quad-core with 8 Gb of ram. I allocate 4 Gb to my VirtualBox running Windows 7. It takes around 3 1/2 minutes to scroll 247 hits on "faith" in the AVs.

I suppose the down arrow is a good way to compare rendering speed, but I almost never use them in practice. I drag the scroller around and find very little problem. The display updates quite quickly when stopped. Anyway here are my results with 247 verses,

Old AMD with 4GB ram
AV (without Strong's) 50 seconds
AVs 3.3 min

Intel i5 3.0Ghz, 8GB
AV 27 sec.
AVs 3.1 min

This is with the results display about half the main window size. With the display maximized it renders about twice as fast.

The new pageBreak option should help for users that need it.

OK, with the variation in window sizes etc I think I am on the same level.

AV 28 sec.
AVs 2:14 min:sec

I get the following error, both in Wine and VirtualBox, when setting Bible to AV-PCEs, going to Jonah 1:1, and hovering over the superscript 1 on Jonah. Doesn't matter if Strong's numbers are hidden or visible and occurs EVERY time I hover or try to click on the "1".

On the same error if I go to Jonah 2, superscripts 2 and 3 work perfectly. It appears that just superscript 1 in Jonah 1:1 is failing.

I can verify that error under virtual box under linux mint 18.

It looks different under windows 10 native system. The '1' is a fourteen in parens (14) but there is no error hovering or clicking
