Bible Analyzer 5.3 Beta (Windows)

Post by Tim »

The beta setup file is here,
http://www.bibleanalyzer.com/bibleanalyzer530-setup.exe

It is best to use the Portable install method to put all the files under one folder. That way it won't mess up an existing Bible Analyzer installation.

This setup includes the timing data for the Daniel Wagner KJV audio set. If you download the Wagner files from these links,

http://www.kjvmp3.org/uploads/1/1/9/7/1 ... /tbi_1.zip
http://www.kjvmp3.org/uploads/1/1/9/7/1 ... /tbi_2.zip

http://www.kjvmp3.org/uploads/1/1/9/7/1 ... /tbi_5.zip
http://www.kjvmp3.org/uploads/1/1/9/7/1 ... /tbi_6.zip

and put them all under one folder, Bible Analyzer with link them alll to the appropraite timing data.

Here is a video that explains most of the new audio features in v5.3,

Here is a list of most of the changes/additions for v5.3

Bible Analyzer 5.3

Bible Audio Enhancements
Now have eight KJB Audio recordings indexed for verses.
This allows precise verse playing and highlighting.
Individual verses or verse spans can be played on any reference in any panel by right-click.
Verse lists and search results can be exported to MultiWindow and played.
Playing can be stopped and started with any verse in MW.
In MW verses can be played in full exported page or exported verse list. Highlighting and scrolling follows playing verse.
When a recording for a verse or chapter does not exist TTS is used.
Multiple recordings can be indexed and easily switched or deleted.

Text-To-Speech
Speech Icon in main toolbar only activates TTS/Audio in Bible Panel
Dictionary, Commentary, and Book Panels have a new dedicated TTS icon in each toolbar to read text.
Dedicated TTS will read the whole text from the beginning or a selection.

ScripturePad Updates
ScripturePad now has a right-click context menu to match the other panels.
Verse lists can be sent to the MultiWindow from linked references in page (right-click).
Can now export ScripturePad/Notes page to the MultiWindow.

Other Changes
Added Online Bible Tree Link Generator in Control Menu to generate a Bible Tree at PreservedWords.com.
Added a left mouse double-click option instead of single click for changing Current Verse and Current Word.
Holding the Shift Key down while clicking a reference or word will keep the tab from changing to the default commentary or dictionary.
Various bug fixes.

If you have any errors or issues, post them here or email me, morton@bibleanalyzer.com

Once the Windows edition is working well, I'll work on the Mac and Linux editions.

The link button in the S-Pad crashes the program for me.

I have the Alexander Scourby files. Are you planning to sync them?

Here is an updated .exe (v5.3.0.21). Just download and place in your existing Bible Analyzer portable folder.

http://www.bibleanalyzer.com/files/bibleanalyzer5.exe

This new beta fixes

Verse syncing issue in ScripturePad
Highlighting one word offset when note added to verse.
Font gets larger when doing a Find in Bible panel.
Updated splashscreen
When playing Bible audio with Bible panel maximized issue

As for the questions, yes we have two Scourby sets indexed for verse timing. They will be part of the full timing set. The Wagner timing set above is for testing purposes.

Hi Tim,

Is there a preference/switch somewhere in BA to make it look better when working with high dpi monitors? I find the text looks blurry on a 4K display running Windows 10.

Thanks!

No, not yet. It is the underlying toolkit (wxPython) that controls the display resolution but the wx developers are working on it from what I understand.
