Re: BA 3.9 impressions

Scrolling that drags seems to be a recurring issue in Linux programs. I can't use OpenOffice due to the scroll drag, but KWord is fast with scrolling. I use Gjots for notes, which scrolls nice, but I actually like another program better, I think it was CaseNotes, but the scrolling dragged. The beta ...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

OK, I've been looking at BA 3.9. My initial impression is, that it probably has a Bazaleel/Aholiab type anointing. Note I'm not talking about any theological positions included, but the overall functioning and design. The layouts and coloring are just as impressive, as if you are a professional web ...

BA 3.9 impressions

So far this is all very nice!! I just found this link http://www.bibleanalyzer.com/modules.html I didn't know about all this, and I should have a link to this page from my web site as well; so I will add it soon. A problem with Linux is, that Greek and Hebrew texts usually do not display properly, m...

Re: Bible Analyzer 3.9 Linux beta

Tim, OK, I changed the name of the Tools file to tools. It took awhile to find on a search how to do it, as I wasn't using "terminal" as a search word. So, the software runs now. My initial impression is that it is more efficient in how it functions and the layout is somehow subtly improve...

Re: Bible Analyzer 3.9 Linux beta

Go to usr/share/bibleanalyzer/Tools Tim, would you believe I have no idea what this means? So, after looking at the computer for awhile, this is what I tried. I went to Places - Computer - File System - usr - share. And clicking on share brought up all kinds of program files. I clicked Bibleanalyze...

Re: Bible Analyzer 3.9 Linux beta

I installed the software from the .deb file, but it would not open. I uninstalled from the package manager, and installed. Still would not open. I uninstalled, moved the BA folder to the Trash, and installed. Still would not open. I restared the computer -- didn't help. On opening the BA folder, it ...

Re: Bible Analyzer 3.9 Linux beta

Tim, I can't figure it out. If I go to Home and click Ctrl + H, I see the BibleAnalyzer file. If I click on that, I see a Modules folder, config.ini, notes.usr, quotes.txt. In the Modules folder, there are six other folders -- Bible, Commentary, Devotion, Dictionary, Image, Text. There is no Tools f...

Re: Bible Analyzer 3.9 Linux beta

I downloaded the Beta, set at open with archive manager. A screen came up with 51 files. I had no idea what to do next. I tried a few times. I'd like to Beta test. I'm doing the Beta testing just now on Softmaker Office 2010 as well. It's interesting being a Beta tester. At any rate... what am I doi...

Re: 3.9 for linux

The sad thing about the Linux edition is I get almost no input, comments, or requests for it and sometimes I wonder if it is worth my time adapting Bible Analyzer to work on it. It seems to be little downloaded or utilized. I suppose not too many Linux users are interested in it, or Bible study in ...
