Re: Bible Analyzer 4.8 Linux Beta

OK, that was easy. I went to the home folder and hit ctlr + h. Then, I clicked .config, and then the BibleAnalyzer file. Then, I deleted notes.usr. On opening BA I was prompted for my laptop password, and then the program opened beautiful like. I want to try to use BA during the week, and then, I wi...

Re: Bible Analyzer 4.8 Linux Beta

Here is what the terminal says -- ************ Starting Bible Analyzer ************* /home/mpaul App dir /home/mpaul/Documents/BibleAnalyzer home user folder /opt/bibleanalyzer all users /home/mpaul/Documents/BibleAnalyzer docs modules folder /home/mpaul/.config/bibleanalyzer user /opt/bibleanalyzer...

Re: Bible Analyzer 4.8 Linux Beta

The new version does not work. I'm trying it on Ubuntu 13.10. Normally, I do not use the October version of Ubuntu, as it can be buggy, and it seems to me to be a step toward the April version. However, I like 13.10, as it is so fast and sleek. I installed over top. The program will not open. On cli...

Re: Bible Analyzer 4.8 Linux Beta

Should I uninstall the current BA on my OS, or can I just download and install the new version over top of the last one?

Copying glitch

Normally I copy verses with highlight/ ctrl c. However, if the verse has a foot note, on hitting ctrl, a window pops up on the note. As long as that window is up, the verse will not copy -- not in any way, ctrl c or n, or a drop down menu. The pop up window has to go away first. This is accomplished...

Re: Ubuntu 13.10

Just download the file from the BA website. Yes, it works. It went straight in. It worked fine. Then, I copied all my module files from the cloud to the Bible Analyzer folder in Documents. They all loaded up with opening BA, but there was a slight delay to create an index. However, then BA froze my...

Ubuntu 13.10

I just installed Ubuntu 13.10 (very nice OS). However, the Software Center notes that BA is not available for this version of Ubuntu as of yet. I assume this is accurate, but just checking.

Re: Linux 4.7 Beta

Ok, click on the window and hit a key and it goes away. Hmmm.... but I could not have figured it out myself.

So I moved a bible in the BA file in Documents and it did show up in the program. So we went back to the easy way to move stuff. I like that.

Re: Linux 4.7 Beta

I just got the update, and the program works real nice, and even shows 4.7 in the launcher panel. Still, there is no way to close the About Bible Analyzer window. At any rate, I noticed that there is now a Bible Analyzer folder in the Documents file. It is empty. So what is that for? Is it Ok to del...

Re: Linux 4.7 Beta

I think the beta functions about as well as before, but it has the new features. However, I could not find the manual. This is what I think BA really needs -- a quick start manual. The software has become complex. I do not use it every day. In fact, I often go long periods without using it. I have t...
