Re: Modules For Linux

After I made my last post, the thought occurred to me, that Tim had advised I could open modules in Windows and then transfer resources to Linux, if I had version 3.9. I delayed on this in wondering how to uninstall 3.8 in Windows. But now I thought I would install 3.9 beside 3.8 and give some other...

Re: Modules For Linux

I've tested the modules somewhat -- and it all seems to work quite well. The dictionaries have a glitch. If I have the Bible window open and click on a word, not all the dictionaries appear in the pop up window. Different ones will appear depending on which one is highlighted in the main dictionary ...

Re: Modules For Linux

OK, I downloaded both of these modules to the Desktop. I clicked on them, and that didn't do anything. I extracted them, and folders appeared on the Desktop, one Dictionary, one Commentary. I moved the folders to the Bibleanalyzer folder at Home. That didn't do anything. I moved them to Modules - no...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

I was trying out the copying again. The control + A does not work at all. The Select All from the drop down menu only works under certain circumstances. At first, it does not work at all. If I click on a verse, and the Eaton window pops up, and I close it, a grayish highlighting remains. Then, the S...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

I do not use BA in Windows. A while back, I installed BA in the Windows XP partition of my laptop, to make certain it worked well before I put a link to your web site on my home page. After you informed me, that I could install modules in the Windows BA and transfer them to Linux, I decided to give ...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

The "Display Modules Folder" is only in 3.9. In that case, I thought I would update the 3.8 in Windows and try the modules. I thought it would be best to remove 3.8 and download 3.9. It was interesting to find that BA is not listed in Remove Programs. Then, I noted it was not in the Progr...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

Now be patient with me, cause I only know so much about computers However, looking at the icons for the bundles on my Desktop in Windows, they strike me as something that has to be unzipped, which is what the icons in Linux indicated, but it did not have a way to do it. If I right click on the bundl...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

In Windows, apparently I have installed Bible Analyzer 3.8 portable. In trying to run the 2.9 MB module, it was set for Documents and Settings/admin/Application Data/BibleAnalyzer/Modules/ If I click MyComputer - C: - Documents and Settings - admin -- there is no folder to be seen called Application...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

You had suggested to me that I download the modules in Windows and then transfer them to Linux. I had responded that BA was not working for me in Windows. Then, I deleted the config.ini file in my Windows BA, as this had solved the program for BA not working in Linux before in my 3.7 and 3.9 install...

Re: BA 3.9 impressions

I was thinking about Windows, and it just seemed to make sense that the BA problem there was again the config.ini file. So I deleted it and restarted, and the software worked. That's the third time now.... I downloaded the 2.7 MB bundle, and I double clicked it, and a screen came up saying it was go...
