Re: 5.2 Beta Testing (Linux)

Hi WRM,
Some of us are now 100% Linux and really do not want to run BA in windows emulation mode. The native Linux version is superb and Tim is doing a good job on it.

F11 Preferences Loses Settings

Problem with preferences. I press F11, set my default dictionary to WSD, Default commentary to Cambridge, Default Strong's Resource to StrongEx, Default Popup Bible to NET, and Default Strong's Popup Resource to CWD. I save my settings. I do work and (I think) I hit a problem and get an error messag...

Re: 5.2 Beta Testing (Linux)

Hi Tim, I still have a request on the MCP and clearing multiple selections. I do appreciate being able to use the space bar and up/down arrow keys to clear entries, but when you have a hundred items to clear it just takes too long! Could you put a button on those boxes allowing all entries to be cle...

Re: 5.2 Beta Testing (Linux)

Just got to thinking. One thing you can try - 1. move all installed modules, including those in .config/BibleAnalyzer, to a holder folder in your home directory, 2. install new BA. This gives you a completely clean install. 3. Run BA and check the behavior on dictionaries and commentaries. If it beh...

Re: 5.2 Beta Testing (Linux)

Linux Mint 18 is based on Ubuntu 16.04 where Ubuntu-Mate 17.04 is based on Ubuntu 17.04. Mint will not go to 16.10 until at least the end of the year and possibly next year and will not go to 17.04 until latter part of next year. So I don't know if the version of Ubuntu has any bearing on the issues...

Re: 5.2 Beta Testing (Linux)

I am sorry to hear that. I used to run Linux Mint 18, but I like to play with different distros, and now I think I am home with Ubuntu-Mate. You might try running Ubuntu-Mate live on a thumb drive, install BA and see what happens. I don't know enough about the "internals" of Linux to know how to add...

Re: 5.2 Beta Testing (Linux)

The BA installation creates a module/Audio folder. After the installation when you click the Audio button on the tool bar you get an error message that says "OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/darrel/Documents/BibleAnalyzer/modules/audio'". If you then create the "audio" folder BA ...

Re: 5.2 Beta Testing (Linux)

Tim,
Is there any way to get rid of the "Book/Article Viewer" thing that keeps showing up when I am reading a book module? It really hinders reading the text. Thanks!
