Re: Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
Paul, What version of Ubuntu are you using? You should be able to go to System -> About Ubuntu and it will tell you what version you are using, 10.10 Maverick Meerkat or 10.04 Lucid Lynx. If it isn't one of those two, the ppa isn't going to work for your version. Please let me know what version you ...

Re: Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
Paul, Yes, perhaps brave was an overstatement. If you were able to get Bible Analyzer installed and working before, then really this is not going to be difficult. If something fails, it would be easy to just install BA again, as you had before. Of course the ppa version would probably need to be rem...

Re: Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
Well a ppa is a Personal Package Archives. What that means is that instead of installing a package by downloading the deb and installing it that way, you would add the ppa to your package manager, and you would be able to install the package (Bible Analyzer in our case) through the normal way packag...

Also it would be better to post on the Ubuntu forums there for those kind of questions. These forums pertain to Bible Analyzer. God Bless!

Ubuntu ppa repository for testing
Ok, I was able to get a ppa up. I need a few brave souls to test this out for me. The ppa will only work for Lucid and Maverick installs of Ubuntu. You can add the ppa by following these instructions. NOTE: Please backup any of your Bible Analyzer materials you have created or bought before starting...

Re: Can't get program to work
@ bob58523 Wow this is a little old, sorry I should have been here a while ago. Please open a terminal and post the output of this: sudo aptitude show python I had really weird problems when I installed once, because for some reason I had python 2.4 installed, and not python 2.6 installed. BA needs/...

Re: I installed Ubuntu (operating system)
You need to visit www.ubuntu.com and download the ISO, or disk image, and burn it to a CD, or you can create a bootable USB drive with the iso in Ubuntu. This site explains that: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick For things like this you will probably get quicker help at: w...

This forum specifically pertains to Bible Analyzer. If you are having trouble that doesn't pertain to Bible Analyzer, you should look for help at the Ubuntu Forums www.ubuntuforums.org

Re: ubuntu
Does this only occur when running Bible Analyzer? or is it a constant problem? This is not really a Bible Analyzer issue. You probably have ATI or Nvidia drivers and that is causing it to run hot. It would be best to search the Ubuntu forums.
